About the Role

As part of the newly formed New Products Marketing Team at Tencent, you will create, manage and organise the player communities for several titles in our GSA territory cluster (Germany, Switzerland & Austria). These titles currently include Undawn (a realistic, open-world survival game developed for mobile by Lightspeed and Quantum Studios), Tower of Fantasy (an anime inspired MMORPG title on mobile and PC) and an additional, as yet unannounced title.

Essential to this role will be the establishment of relevant and engaging social media content plans and community programmes.  These will be developed working closely with the regional product marketing lead and the pr & comms lead.  A flexible approach will often be required to support brand, social and community strategies for multiple titles.


  • Manage the official social media channels for multiple new Tencent products across platforms. You will manage community content in the areas of marketing promotion, community growth and game operations.
  • Monitor trending content in GSA markets, promptly respond to hot topics and trends in the current West Europe market, adjust strategy and produce pan-entertainment content accordingly.
  • Drive the content strategy and adapt global programmes to the needs of your own markets. You will be responsible for driving community growth and engagement, ensuring varied and engaging content is at the heart of this growth.
  • Develop and own the influencer management strategy for each title, working alongside agency partners to implement and measure our programmes.
  • Directly responsible for outreach to and management of top tier influencers in the GSA markets, building and managing relationships with the influencers via on-going communication.
  • Develop and manage an overall plan and community KPIs.
  • Track and report the major issues and opportunities each game’s community in a timely manner.
  • Identify and deliver localised content opportunities based on locally relevant brands, holidays, festivals and general cultural preferences for GSA based player communities.
  • Identify and pursue localised brand partnership opportunities for Tencent titles.
  • Work with regional creative content agency to bring ideas and programmes to life.
  • Ensure local market consumer and business insights are integrated into day-to-day work.
  • Monitor social media updates from competing games and provide new content suggestions accordingly.
  • Create & host community events such as lucky draws and tournaments.
  • Develop and own the influencer management strategy for each title, working alongside agency partners to implement and measure our programmes.
